I should be there with a camera, the only one I may not be able to make it to is the Sunday of the fair, because of Wright County but I might be able to make both

Still not cool with no welding bumper brackets to frame, actually thinking about jumping aboard the Howard lake train. Just an all around stupid rule that could have been modified or worded better, lots more feel the same way...

Too many ppl were pushing rules to suit their needs. We're trying to make things fair for everyone. Doug

But it should have some sort of help like putting a cap on a certain lenght of plate like 5 to 6 inches back flat stock on one side of the frame only on both frame rails which can also allow bumper brackets 6 inches long or less. I do understand an 03 frame tilted and mopar shocks are way to over kill and think that it was a hell of an idea since there was no stipulation on the rule but to cross it off the list completely is pretty much whipping a good show off aswell. 6 now have turned away because of that rule alone that I know of. I have complete support in this show but I am also looking out for it so there isn't another show of 3 cars in that huge track. I do know that if I showed up with 74-76 bumpers horns on a gm 71 thy didn't come with it and I Cant run I better not see a 74-76 out there because that is still a bumper bracket welded to the frame.... So you see.... There is more hurting than helping with that being said!

Is that just for old iron and 80's or is it compact too?

On the bumper shock rule I would say judges discretion! Tell them not to go to crazy in the rules and if they do tell them to cut and scoar or get out

Video of it all!!! Kept my language under control. I'll post them soon and anybody let me know if you want a tape. Now about the show. The good Drivers doors were kept under control well and tag teaming was to a minimum
Holy smokes that chain stock was wild!!! Pretty much all the heats except 80s were all pretty hard hitting
That quast drove that suicide like a soft pillow case. That was fun to watch The bad Quite a bit of sandbagging. I'm not calling any names but there were a few that would not hit anybody. There needs to be some more enforcing in that area! Need to warn and break sticks and be alot more strict
The mod truck heat. That number 55 sat in the corner for probably 5 minutes and still gets to go. I don't like that!
Overall decent show, best I've been to in a while
