GENERAL RULES
1. All drivers are required to wear seatbelts, safety helmet, and eye protection. Neck brace is optional but recommended. 2. All cars must be standard make with no reinforcement or alterations to the frame unless specified. 3. You must remove all glass, mirrors, trailer hitches and chrome. 4. Car or truck must have 12"x12" hole cut in hood in case of fire. 5. Brakes must be in working order. Minimum of 2 working brakes. 6. No bigger than 10 gallon gas tank (steel only-no plastic) covered and strapped in the back seat or box. MUST HAVE FUEL CUT OFF WITH ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP (steel strapping or chains-no bungee cords on gas tank or battery). 7. Batteries covered and strapped in passenger seat area. MUST BE COVERED FOR YOUR PROTECTION. 8. One fire-you start; second fire-disqualification. 9. You have 20 seconds to make an aggressive hit, 2 minutes to get vehicle started. 10. No intentional crashing of the drivers door, subject to disqualification. 11. Vehicles must continue to crash. No avoiding, holding, tag-teaming or sandbagging. No using drivers door as a block. 12. No riding on vehicles at any time. Drivers must remain inside vehicle during derby and when being towed, except for fires. 13. Drivers door may be welded solid or reinforced in any way for safety. 14. Radiators must remain in stock position. Transmission coolers allowed. 15. Driver is responsible for any member of his or her pit crew. Any rules found violated will result in disqualification of driver, pit crew, and car and will forfeit any winnings, entry fee, and trophies. 16.**** NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN PIT AREA BEFORE OR DURING THE DERBY. SUBJECT TO ARREST AND DISQUALIFICATION. THIS IS ENFORCED!!!!! 17. For the derby all automobiles are acceptable except 1973 and older Imperials or convertibles. NO CARS WITH IMP SUB FRAMES. 18. **** NO GREY AREA OR TECHNICAL BUILDING!!! IF YOUR TOLD TO CUT AND REFUSE TO YOU WILL LOAD YOUR CAR AND WILL NOT RUN. WE WILL NOT TOUCH YOUR CAR AFTER IT LEAVES THE TECH LINE AFTER REFUSAL TO CUT.

Fullsize "80s and old"
1. Cage- Dash bar and behind seat bar and door bars allowed 2 inch min and 5inch max diameter and cannot be attached to frame. May have only 2 bars max behind seat in a crisscross pattern. Must be securely fastened or you will be told to remove. Dash bar may connect to the firewall in 2 spots 3” by 1/4” max flat stock and cannot be placed within the dp on the 80s and newer. If you have a dp or mid plate dash bar must be 6 inch away from firewall. If you have a tranny brace it must be mounted to cross member with factory tranny mount, free floating or 1 bolt and dash bar must be 2inches away from tranny tunnel. Halo bar no farther back then 15 inches from center post on 4 door cars or 8 inch on 2 door cars. Can be welded to frame and bolted to roof. Halo bar can be attached to the door bars. You can have 4 down bars from the door bars only located within the front doors and straight down to rocker area 1 door bar per side can go to the frame. If you have a halo bar you can only have two down bars. You can run a gas tank protector that must mount from the behind the seat bar 30inch wide and can go to the sheet metal but must be within the frame rails with no down bars and be off the floor 2inches.
2. Doors- **Please reinforce your driver’s door very good, in this type of competition all drivers doors will take some type of hit during the event. We want you to be safe and protected behind your reinforcement.** All doors may be welded solid with 3” wide by 1/8” thick strap or chained shut. Top of doors can be folded and welded together with no added metal.
3. Hood and Trunk- Hood may be bolted in 8 spots. 4 to frame and 4 to sheet metal. The rod must be welded to top of frame and cannot run down the frame in any way where it touches is it. The back hood bolts can have a 4” by ¼” thick triangle to help attach the rod to the frame on top. Trunk lid may be welded solid with 3” by 1/8” thick strap or bolted every 3inch. Trunk may be bolted in 6 spots 4 to frame and 2 to sheet metal. Trunk may have a 10” by 4” ¼” strap from bumper to the trunk. You may tuck trunks. NO sedagons, decking must be removed.
4. Seam welding- Frame can be welded fire wall forward top and bottom. Body seams can be welded 6 on 6 off. K-frame CAN be welded solid, May take out pucks and replace with 1” bolts. Y framer can plate the y‘s with a 1/4inch by 16inch plate top side only and must touch the bumper. 03 and newer can do a craddle swap with No torsion bars added.
5. Body bolts- You may remove pucks front and back, you may add 3 extra body bolts per side which can also go to frame with a max of 6”x 6” washer’s. ALL bolts can be a max of 1 inch.
6. Core support- Core support may have a 2 by 2 ¼” angle iron on the top of core support from fender to fender. Radiator barrels are o.k. BUT must be factory size, CANNOT touch the frame in any way, CANNOT be welded to the angle iron at all, Bolted in 4 spots to core support or 4-4” welds to core support to hold it in place. Must run vent tub under the car!
7. Fenders- May bolt fenders to wheel wells up to 8 3/8" bolts front and back. May fold fenders and weld. If you weld them you cant use the bolts. If you bolt them you cant weld them. You may weld the front clip solid. The fenders CANNOT be welded to the frame.
8.Windows- Windshield may have 2 bars 3” wide 3/8” thick max no more than 6” on the firewall and 6” on roof. May connect with 2 bars 3” by 3/8” max. Cannot be connected to any hood or trunk bolt. Rear window may have 1, 3inch c channel by 3/8” max. No more than 6” on roof and 6” on trunk or speaker deck. You may have 9 wire in 2 spots in each window.
9. BUMPERS-Bumpers may be bolted or welded solid. You may fully weld bumpers and brackets. Nothing can be put inside of frame to mount the bumper unless it came from the factory with it. Bumpers are interchangeable with any mass produced car bumper. Stock appearing bumpers: we will allow you to take any bumper apart, weld any material you would like to the inside of bumper and weld the chrome back on. Everything must be done inside of bumper nothing on the outside.
10. Drive Train- Motor and tranny of choice, in stock location. Maybe welded or chained, the motor tie down CANNOT exceed in front pullies or 2 inch behind the heads to top or side of frame 2 by 3/8 flat stock and cannot be laid flat on frame. Dp can be touching firewall. No hold downs on back of motor when using a dp or mid plate. Mid plates cannot be tied to the frame in anyway or be wider then the motor. No extreme type full engine protectors. . 11. Suspension- Rear suspension must remain stock, 80s and newer may leaf or run a 15 inch hump plate that has to fallow the outside contour of the frame.. full floater rear ends are ok. double coils are o.k. on coil cars. Leaf spring cars have up to 9 leafs per side and maybe clamped in 6 spots per side. Must be factory springs out of a car and CANNOT be home made. Rear end maybe chained in 2 spots per side of car. Coil springs may be wired in. Upper and lower trailing arms maybe reinforced, but they still have to function in a factory manor. The Front suspension may be welded with 2- 2inch by 5 straps DO NOT strengthen frame or a arms you can bolted or use spring spacers for height. Tie rods maybe reinforced, but must function in a factory manor. A arms cannot be reinforced. Tires you may run any tire you see fit,foam it, double it what ever you have to do to not get a flat. No Aggressive tires on drive axle.
12. 12. Frame repairs- If frame is rusted you may fix it with same thickness plate 1 inch past the rust hole (Don’t CUT THE RUST SPOT OUT). You may weld a plate 1” past a bend. 20 inch max per side no longer than 6inches long pieces in the front of the car and 10 inches long in the back of car and must have a 1 inch gap between plates and welds cannot touch one side of frame only with a 1/4 plate only. Floor repairs must be sheet metal only or you wont run.

Compact CHAIN STOCK (107 wheelbase)
1. Headers through hoods allowed. 2. Stock gas tanks must be removed. 3. Any car allowed ... 4. No studded tires or wheel weights. No snow or aggressive tires on drive axle. Any “D.O.T.” stamped tire allowed. 5. Valve stem protectors are acceptable. 6. Radiators must remain in the stock location and be filled with water only. 7. Transmission coolers are acceptable inside or outside, the car but must have approved steel or hydraulic hose. 8. Original gas tanks must be removed. You must use a boat tank or well made fuel cell and it must be secured and covered. No plastic tanks or gas cans. Fuel line must be secured and fastened properly. Place fuel cell behind driver’s seat of the car where the back seat used to be. Must be fastened down securely, No plumbers strap, bungy straps or self tapping screws. 9. Bumper may be welded to Shocks may be welded, bolted or chained to frame, so we don’t have loose bumpers on the track. You may trim ends. Bumpers are interchangable with another compact. Bumper brackets must be factory to the car. 10. Windshield screen is also highly recommended. 11. If not running stacks through the hood a hole must be cut for fire safety. 12. Trunk lids and hood may be fastened in 6 places with chain 3/8 inch, 4 loops maximum. 9 wire is ok. 13. Driver’s door may be welded shut, all others chained with 3/8 inch chain. 2 per seam. No welding of any other doors but drivers door. The bottom of the door seams may be chained threw the door and around the frame. 14. Frames must remain factory stock. 15. Stock suspensions must be left intact. No welding up A arms or tie rods. 16. Batteries must be placed in the passenger’s side floorboard and secured and covered. Any 12 volt battery safely in the car is allowed. 17. Ignition switches and push-button starts are optional (wire it up so it works). 18. Body mounts must remain in position between the frame and the body. 19. No welding leaf springs or adding extra leafs. 20. No welding body seams. 21. Cutting for wheel clearance is allowed. 22. Homemade shifters allowed. 23. Driver’s side window nets recommended. 24. Motors are interchangeable. 25. Dash Bars are recommended! Cage is o.k for safety. 26. NO protectors, craddles, sliders. If it is not a part from the automotive factory you cant run it.

Radiators must remain in the stock location and be filled with water only. 7. Transmission coolers are acceptable inside or outside, the car but must have approved steel or hydraulic hose. 8.
