Sunday July 22nd at Perham Fairgrounds there will be 3 person team Car Soccer event. Gates open at 11:00 a.m. and starts at 2:00 p.m. Entry fee, rules, and payouts will be posted next week. This will be for compact cars and the derby cars built for Fridays Demo are allowed to run. They are having one last meeting at the derby arena to finalize the last few details before posting them to the drivers. Everyone is welcome to attend at the Perham Fairgrounds Wednesday June 27 to discuss how everything will work, otherwise I'll post the info on here afterwards. The Perham Fair board is in charge of this event I am just posting the info for them, however any questions you have feel free to post on here and I will get an answer for you.

Also as an intermission show there will be a Minivan only chain n go derby. It will be one heat paying out 3 places. This is a very basic easy build derby to just go out and wreck a minivan and maybe get some cash doing it.
Mini Van Chain-N-Go Derby Front wheel drive 4 or 6 cylinder Mini vans only
1st $600 2nd $250 3rd $100
1. All drivers must wear a safety helmet and eye protection.
2. Drivers under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign for them.
3. Each driver and person will sign a liability waiver to enter the pits.
4. Gates open at 11:00 a.m.
5. Be prepared for inspection upon pulling into the gate.
6. Perham Fair Board will be inspecting and flagging this event and their decisions are final.
7. NO alcoholic beverage is permitted in the pits during the event.
8. Entry fee for the class will be $40.00 for a van, driver, and one pit person, extra pit passes $20.00.
9. Each vehicle should have a fire extinguisher in your pit area.
10. Van number should be placed on both sides of the car and have number sign on the roof.
11. Van must pass safety inspection just before entering the arena to check that the battery, fuel cell, seatbelt and helmet is secure.
12. If your van catches fire or roles over you may have a chance to restart providing fire department gives the ok, 2nd fire will result in disqualification.
13. No team driving!!
VAN MODIFICATION AND SAFETY
1. This is a stock derby and vans are to BE KEPT STOCK!
2. All cars must have seat belts. Drivers must wear safety helmets and eye protection.
3. Vans should be completely gutted inside.
4. All windows, exterior trim, lights, mirrors, hubcaps and bumper skins must be removed.
5. All hoods should have a 12 in diameter hole for firefighting purposes
6. Van must have a door bar on driver’s door but no more than 6 inches past either side of the door
7. Recommended seat bar from door post to door post, not to exceed 3" O.D. NO KICKERS!!!
8. All body parts including fenders, bumpers, and rear hatch must be left on.
9. Battery must be fastened to floor in the front passenger.
10. No more than a 6 gallon gas tank. The gas tank must be made of steel and located in the back seat area of the van. Must use automotive fuel line or steel lines.
11. 2 ratchet style straps in X pattern to secure gas tank and battery. Both need to be covered. NO BUNGEE STRAPS!!!!
12. Regular DOT type tires allowed, no skid steer, fork lift, or solid rubber tires. No studded tires. No screws or fastening of tires to rims. Valve stem protectors are ok. Tire flapping allowed.
13. All trailer hitches must be removed.
14. Radiators must remain in stock location or removed completely, no radiator protector or radi- barrels
15. Bumpers can be interchanged, but must be a compact car or van bumper. No welding of any kind on front bumper, bolted and chain only, one chain per side
16. Must have working brakes.
17. Pre run's are allowed with no plating of frames and providing they meet these rules
18. No modifying suspension in any way. Must function the way it was intended.
19. No concrete or foam filled frame or body parts
20. No Transmission Coolers
21. No distributor protector’s
22. Bumper height must be 21 inches or less to top of bumper.
23. All airbags must be disconnected.
24. No bolting of fenders, hood or hatch.
25. ABSOULOUTY NO welding on any part of the vans except for seat and door bar. If any welding is done anywhere else you will be asked to fix or you will not run.
26. Must chain doors, hatch, hood. No hood pins allowed. 4 chains for hood, 4 chains for hatch, and 2 per door.
27. NO # 9 WIRE allowed on the car at any time.
28. Engine/tranny swaps are not allowed unless replacing with the same as what you took out
29. Electric fuel pumps allowed if wired w/disconnect.
30. Helmet, seat belt in good operating condition, and long sleeve shirt recommended.
31. IF IT IS NOT IN THE RULES DONT DO IT. This is a derby for drivers that want to go out and wreck a minivan and have a chance to win some money doing so. So no gray area building or you will be asked to fix or not run.
