The no-weld stock rules are for the 80+ chain class
And the compact rules are for the compact class
Chain truck rules are:
1. Any year 2wd, 4wd, 1/2 or 3/4 ton pick up, blazer, suburban, or van is allowed. 4wd need to remove a driveshaft.
2. No welsing, cutting, or bending frame
3. Bumpers must remain stock, pick up bumpers only
4. Stock gas tanks must be removed. Steel tanks must be securely fastened and covered in the front center of box or rear passenger area. Gas line through box, cab, and firewall must be steel.
5. Shifters may be modified to floor
6.Tailgates must be chained in six spot, with 2 around the frame or bumper.
7. Up to 4 - 1/2 inch bolts may be used to hold box and cab together. 4 extra bolts holding cab to frame must be used for safety. No replacing or adding box bolts allowed.
8. Only 1 battery is allowed, securely fastened in the front passenger area.
9. Hood may be secured with up to 6 chains, only 2 can be around frame or bumper.
10. Tranny cooler must remain stock or be disconnected
11. No welded or posi type rear-ends
12. Dash bar, seat bar, and winshield bar are required
13. Door bars are optional. You may have roll lop welded to frame, no farther back than 10 inches from the back of the drivers seat. No kickers.
14. Any tires ok, split rims must be welded well.
15. Drivers window must have safety net.
16. Exhaust may be through hood, if not you must cut 12 inch by 12 inch hole for fire suppression.
17. 2 chains per door seam. Driver's door only may be welded solid and have safety brace.
18. Any engine and tranny allowed, solid motor mounts, no reinforcing frame.
19. Bumpers and wheel wells may be trimmed.
